On July 15, 2019 the Rowley Water Department has implemented a Mandatory Water Use Restrictions in accordance to MassDEP regulations. The Water Use Restrictions was triggered by the Parker River Streamflow falling below 6cfs for three (3) consecutive days.
The Mandatory Water Use Restrictions in place are: NO NON-ESSENTIAL WATER USE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9AM-5PM 7 DAYS PER WEEK.
NON-ESSENTIAL water use examples are car washing, lawn sprinklers, pool filling, and ECT. Essential water use examples are livestock, and farming
